

Doyle is survived by his wife of 68 years, Charlotte Wernicke Lee; three sons, Dale Lee (Nery) of Lake City, Florida, David Lee (Pam) of Spring Lake, Florida and Shelton Lee (Julie) of Orlando, Florida; four grandchildren, Allison Lee Coppedge (Craig), Derick Lee (Luisa), Jordan Lee Wohlleber (Ben) and Jarrod Lee; and six great-grandchildren, Jackson Coppedge, Abby Coppedge, Hallie Coppedge, Charlotte Coppedge, Cataleya Lee and Camellia Lee.
Born April 4, 1929 in Eustis, Florida and a resident of Spring Lake, Florida since the age of 14, Doyle was a Life Member of the Spring Lake United Methodist Church, a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean conflict as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division and had a successful 33-year career with Withlacoochee River Electric Co-op, Inc. Doyle served his church on the Board of Trustees and volunteered his time with the United Methodist Men specializing in spaghetti supper fundraisers. He enjoyed storytelling, hunting, fishing, camping and building picnic tables and porch swings for anyone without.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00-2:00pm, Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Spring Lake United Methodist Church, where Funeral Services will begin at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made “In Memory of Doyle Lee” to
