JOHNSON, Edwin R., age 88, of Spring Hill, FL died Monday, April 21, 2014 at his home. Born in Chicago, IL, he moved to Spring Hill, 13 years ago from Northbrook, IL. He was a member of Village Presbyterian Church of Northbrook, IL and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII having achieved the rank of sergeant. Preceded in death by sister: Ruth Schmuldt; he is survived by his wife of 68 years: Beverly of Spring Hill, FL; son: Wayne Johnson of Durham, NC; daughters and son-in-law: Marilyn and Robert Baker of Spring Hill, FL; Judi Nigrelli and Gloria Johnson, both of Sheboygan, WI; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation for friends will be 12:00pm – 2pm, Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel. A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 2:30 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
