ROTH, Elmer W., (Skeets), 80, after a prolonged illness, “Skeets” entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 3, 2014. He was born in Houghton, New York and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Elmer served at Houghton College and Houghton Academy for almost 25 years. He moved to Florida 23 years ago and to Brooksville in 2001 where he served as director of Wesleyan Homes until his retirement in 2012. He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Wanda; four children: Valerie (Richard) Lockhart; Mark (Janet) Roth; Vanessa Roth; Vivica (Mark) Odell; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. He was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren. A Memorial service will be at 11:00am, Friday, May 16, at the Brooksville Wesleyan Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
