Esther Marie LaBarr

She was born April 27, 1924 in Dixon, Illinois and came to Spring Hill 14 years ago from Virginia Beach, Virginia.  She earned a Master's Degree in Virginia and a Bachelor's Degree at the University of Tampa.  She devoted her life to her family and communities and retired after 30 plus years as an elementary teacher.  She attended First United Methodist Church of Brooksville.  

She is preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Richard LaBarr in 1948 and Grant Baird in 2015; her son, Thomas LaBarr; and grandchild, Cheston LaBarr.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard D. & Laura LaBarre of Newberry, South Carolina; grandchildren, Richard M. LaBarre (Adrianne Fry) of Cayce, South Carolina, Lori Sowers (Jamie) of Brooksville, Florida, and Claudia Vincent Cain LaBarre (Lance King) of  West Columbia, South Carolina; great-grandchildren, Brandon Sowers of Brooksville, Florida and Amelia Josephine Fry LaBarre of Cayce, South Carolina; and niece, Susan Harvey (Larry).
