

Born in Garden City, New York on March 9, 1937, Evelyn was a proud resident of Lynbrook, until her retirement to Florida in 2004. Even during retirement, her heart remained loyal to Lynbrook. During her Lynbrook years, she was an active member of the Independent Party and took enjoyment in participating in local civic life. Her dedication to being involved and making a difference was a defining part of who she was.
She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Faye. Evelyn was above all, a loving and proud mother to Bruce, Judy, and Eddie, and a devoted grandmother to Josh, Matthew, Eddie, and Kevin. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren.
Evelyn will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, her love for her family, and her commitment to her community. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, involvement, and dedication that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
A Memorial Service will be held from 8:00-9:00am, Friday, December 5, 2025 at Merritt Funeral Home (2 South Lemon Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601). A Committal Service will follow at 10:00 am at Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513).
