He was born December 2, 1948 in the Bronx, New York and came to Spring Hill five years ago from Port Charlotte, Florida. He was a retired United States Army veteran achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.
He is survived by his son: Frank C. Chelkonas of Spring Hill, Florida; daughters and sons-in-law: Joey L. Chelkonas of Spring Hill, Florida, Donna M. & Michael Flake and Jenny M. & Nathan Kramer, all of Crystal River, Florida; sister: Gail Thistle of Port Charlotte, Florida; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Inurnment will be at 1:00pm, Friday, January 31, 2020 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
