

Gage Easton Hammett passed away on August 29, 2024. He is survived by his high school sweetheart, Aaliyah Ortiz and their two beautiful daughters who he cherished, Lillianna Mae and Elaina Isabella. He is also survived by his loving parents, Kenneth “Tracey” Hammett and Janine Kell (Jeff); his grandmother, Marion Nicholas; his grandparents, Robert and Inky Kopel; his 6 siblings whom he loved so much, Rachel Richardson (Ben), Jessica Hammett, Samantha McCabe (Keith), Beck Hammett (Leah), Karissa Hammett, Paislee Hammett; his brother, Ben Kalkin; his step-siblings, Meghann Boyd (Jason), Christopher Kell (Michelle), and Madison Kell. He is also survived by his 11 nieces and nephews whom he always enjoyed spending time with. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Nicholas.
You can’t think of Gage without thinking of the love he had for Aaliyah and then when he became a dad his girls. Gage had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a smile on his face. Whenever he was around his sister Paislee, laughter and horsing around always ensued, they were two peas in a pod. He loved going to his brother Beck to help him fix things and play video games. Karissa and Gage were side by side throughout school in the same grade, always looking out for each other and had a love for playing the Wii and making funny movies together. He loved visiting Rachel, Jessica and Samantha and their families making so many special memories.
He was lucky enough to have been on many adventures with his parents creating a lifetime of wonderful memories they will forever treasure.
Gage was very artistic and loved photography and drawing. He leaves behind many drawings for his family to enjoy. He loved riding motorcycles with his dad. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Merritt Funeral Home – Spring Hill (4095 Mariner Boulevard, Spring Hill, FL). Visitation with the family is at 11:00am followed by a celebration of Gage’s life at 12:00pm.
