BARNARD, George W. "Bill", age 82 of Spring Hill died Thursday, May 6, 2010 at HPH Hospice Care Center in Brooksville. Bornin Cherokee, KS he came to this are 24 years ago from Michigan. He was a power plant superintendant, WW II US Army Veteran, life member of the Elks Lodge #2582, member of the Masonic Lodge #375 in Brooksville, American Legion in Michigan and Methodist by faith. Survivors include his wife: Jill; son: Curtis Barnard of Olivet, MI; stepson: Michael Dooley of Bakersfield, CA; stepdaughter: Sherry Churchill of Hudson, FL and 11 grandchildren. Visitation for friends will be 10am - 11am Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel where a funeral service will be conducted at 11am. Internment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
