

He was born January 9, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois and came to Spring Hill over ten years ago. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a Sales and General Manager for a machine manufacturing company. He was a member of the American Legion and Catholic by faith.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary B. Carpenter; daughter and son-in-law, Kim & Joe Dedic of Oswego, Illinois; sons and daughter-in-law, Jeff Carpenter, Michael & Leslie Lucente of Des Moines, Iowa, and Marc Lucente of Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Peg & Patrick Stokes of St. Paul, Minnesota; brother and sister-in-law, John & Alice Carpenter of South Port, North Carolina; and five grandchildren.
A Memorial Service is planned and will be held in Aurora, Illinois; date and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in George's honor to the HPH Hospice Care Center.
