George Duane Lee

LEE, George Duane, age 63 of Brooksville, FL passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 from a car accident.  He was born in Jackson, MI on June 23, 1947 and came here 26 years ago from Michigan.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of Sgt. He was honorably discharged with 2 purple hearts, a Bronze medal and several other distinguished medals and honors. Survived by his loving wife of 41 years: Sandra (Gattshall); daughter: Kelly (John) Cross of Brooksville, FL; 3 grandchildren: Brandon, Aaron and Marissa; mother: Ruth Lee of Leslie, MI; sisters: Cindy (Rick) Ousley;  Brenda (Randy) Burns; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by son Brian Duane in 1993. Visitation for friends will be from 6-8:00pm, Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am Saturday, December 4, 2010. Burial will follow at Brooksville Cemetery.
