He was a sheet metal worker for an air conditioning and heating company, U.S. Navy Korean Conflict Veteran and Catholic by faith. Survivors include his wife: Carlene G.; Gerald J., Jr. of Rock Hill, SC, William J. & Thomas J. of New Jersey and Timothy J. of Edgewater Park, NJ; daughter: Theresa Ann Polis of Edgewater Park, NJ; brother: James Howard of New Jersey; sister: Madeline Kelly of Pennsylvania and 6 grandchildren.
