

HYATT, Gerald R., age 82, died Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the HPH Hospice Care Center. He was born in Port Jervis, NY and had his residence in Matamoras, PA just across the Delaware River from Port Jervis. He retired as the owner/operator of Hyatt’s Body Shop in NY and was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He was Captain of the Matamoras Fire Department and a member of the fire departments Rescue Squad and Dive Team. He moved to West Palm Beach, FL in 1985 where he resided until moving to the area in 2003. He is survived by his wife: Sandra Hyatt of Weeki Wachee, FL; daughter: Gerri Ellen Hyatt of North Carolina; sons: Brett Hyatt and his wife Lisa of Georgia; Andrew Hyatt and his wife Lisa of Florida; sisters: Sally Malzahn and her husband Vince of New York; Rae Riordan and her husband John of Texas and 7 grandchildren: Shaun, Ryan, Nicole, Blake, Courtney, Kyle and Jessica and 2 great-grandchildren: Dashaun and Korbyn. His first wife and mother of his children, Elizabeth, pre-deceased Gerald in 2009. He is the son of Raymond and Gladys Hyatt. They are all now together in Heaven. We will see you again there. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00pm, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Mariner United Methodist Church, Spring Hill, FL.
