Glenn H. Hurst

HURST, Glenn H. age 50 of Spring Hill died Monday, April 24, 2006 at Brooksville Regional Hospital. Born in Lowell, Mass., Glenn came to this area 26 years ago from Ocala. Following in his grandfather's footsteps he was a Police Officer for the Ocala Police Department from 1978-1990, and an Investigator for the State Attorney's Office from 1990-current. Mr. Hurst was also an avid fisherman, a pilot, loved restoring antique automobiles, and biking. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Ralph & Edith Hulslander, Ellis & Hilda Hurst; aunts: Eleanor Kelly, Mildred Robinson; uncles: Edwin Hurst, and Dr. Frank Hulslander. Mr. Hurst is survived by his loving daughter: Jamie Michelle Hurst; mother of Jamie: Anita Hurst; mother & father: Harold C. and Irene Hulslander Hurst; brother: Dana (Nancy) Hurst; two sisters: Tammy(Gary) Fincher, and Susan (Charles) Stringer all of Spring Hill; nieces & nephews: Brenda Huckaby, Donna Brown both of Spring Hill, Jeffery (Jill) Hurst of Ocala, Crystal, Holly, and Shawn Fincher of Spring Hill, Brianna and Brandon Stringer of Brooksville, Megan Huckaby, and Michael Brown of Spring Hill; aunts & uncles: Ralph & Irene Hulslander of Chelmsford, MA, Avis Mello of Nashua, NH , Phyllis & William Edgecomb of Spring Hill.Visitation for friends will be 5-8pm, Thurs., April 27, 2006 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel. An additional viewing will be held from 10-11am, Fri., April 28, 2006 at First United Methodist Church of Brooksville where funeral services will be conducted at 11am with Reverend Douglas Zipperer officiating.
