

He was born May 5th, 1963 at Whitinsville Hospital, Whitinsville, Massachusetts and grew up in Sutton, Massachusetts. He attended school in Sutton and at Blackstone Valley Tech where he met his wife of thirty years. He served in the United States Air Force as a mechanic, before being discharged. Ratchet was an ASE Master Mechanic who loved his family very deeply. He loved science fiction with Star Trek and Stargate Atlantis is some of his favorites. He was a grilling master and loved to cook, often finding new recipes. He was very proud of his family name. Celtic festivals and fishing were some of his favorite family activities. Every year he attended the Blueberry Festival with his youngest daughter Samantha. He had a wicked sense of humor that no one could beat. He never met a stranger and he talked to anyone about anything. His heart of gold was very present in all he said and did.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughters, Sheila Moss-Tuttle & her husband Brenden and Samantha Murray & her husband Anthony; his parents, Mike & Sheila Moss; brothers, Wayne & wife Tracey and Dean and his wife Aline; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandsons, Declan Moss and Baby Murray. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00am-12:00pm, Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where Funeral Services will take place from 12:00pm-3:00pm. Food and Fellowship will follow Service from 3:00-6:00pm at Brotherhood Lodge #375, 13402 Montour Street, Brooksville, Florida 34613.
