WHITAKER, Harold H., age 78 of Jacksonville, FL passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Tarpon Bayou Center in Tarpon Springs, FL. He was born in North Carolina and worked as a gas station attendant. He was predeceased by his wife: Libby Ann. Survivors include his sons: Michael & Reggie, both of Alabama, David of Spring Hill and Ricky of Jacksonville; brothers: Steve & Paul; sister: Doris; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation for friends will be 11:30am to 1:00pm Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel where a memorial service will be conducted at 1pm with Reverend Bob Hope presiding.
