MCCALLUM, Helen Jeannette (Heugel) Felsburg, was born on September 17, 1927 in Evansville, Indiana to Grace (Krusenklaus) Heugel and John F. Heugel. After a long illness, Helen passed peacefully in hospice on August 13, 2016 in Brooksville Healthcare Center. Helen traveled with a trio for the Indiana District of the Pilgrim Holiness Church. While traveling she met Charles Felsburg and they were married November 2, 1951. They were married fifty years less one month, when Charles was called Home to be with His Lord, on October 5, 2001. Helen and Charles pastored Pilgrim Holiness and Wesleyan churches in West Virginia, Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and a Free Methodist church in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. They also served in two districts as Superintendent, and with three colleges: United Wesleyan, Allentown, Pennsylvania, a free Methodist college (Roberts Wesleyan) in North Chili, New York and The Christian and Missionary Alliance College and seminary in Nyack, New York. Helen served faithfully in various positions along side of her husband wherever the Lord called them. She was always involved in the music, singing with Charles and her daughters. She also sang in the Brooksville church choir, sang in special numbers and enjoyed playing her accordion in the church orchestra. She leaves behind three daughters, Evangeline (Michael) Connor, Waverly Tennessee, Rebecca (James) Young, Churchville, New York, Rachel (Kevin) Leastman, Gilbert, Arizona and Caroline and Harold Schmul of Ft. Myers, Florida, whom they called their “adopted” children. Caroline was a teenager in their church in Madisonville, Ohio; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews. Helen also leaves a host of friends across the country and her cherished friends in the Brooksville Wesleyan Village. Helen and husband, George McCallum met at the Wesleyan Village. They had known each other and been friends since 1992. Both Helen and George had lost their companions of many years but truly fell in love again and married in 2006. They had 7 years of much love and happiness together, until George was called Home to be with His Lord, on January 31, 2013. Helen would want to be remembered as one who loved her family deeply and her many many friends and most of all her Lord and Saviour. She had many favorite songs some being, “Jesus Will Walk With Me”, “When the Roll is Called Up Yonder”, “Whom Having Not Seen I Love”, and “Finally Home.” Her family and friends know that Helen is looking forward to that Great Homecoming Day and will be standing and waiting for her family and friends – “Just inside the Eastern Gate over there!”
