NEFF, James F., age 88 of Brooksville, FL died Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Brooksville Regional Hospital. He was born in Tell City, Indiana and came to the area 76 years ago from Santa Claus, Indiana. He was a superintendent with the City of Brooksville street department and a U.S. Air Force WWII veteran. He enjoyed playing guitar and loved to fish. He is survived by his wife: Wilma Neff of Brooksville, FL; daughters and sons-in-law: Harriet and Bobby Chaney of Plant City, FL; Mary and Jose Smith-Medina; Lyla Neff-Mock, all of Brooksville, FL; sister and brother-in-law: Dorothy and Woodroe Hammon of Logansport, IN. 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation for friends will be 9-11:00am, Monday, October 1, 2012 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel where funeral services will begin at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Brooksville Cemetery.
