GIBSON, John W., age 77 of Boones Mill, VA and winter resident of Brooksville, FL died Sunday, April 29, 2012. Born in Wirtz, VA he came to Hernando County as a winter resident in 2007. He was the owner of an electronic appliance store and enjoyed blue grass music. He was predeceased by his brother James Gibson. Survivors include his wife of 26 years: Jacqueline; sons: Jeff Gibson of Kenbridge, VA, Bill Gibson of Brooksville, FL, Frank Byrd of Bufton, SC and Tracy Mabes of Rankin GA; best friend and brother: Bill Adams and 6 grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted 3pm Friday, May 4, 2012 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Association or HPH Hospice.
