MCDOWELL, Reverend John P., age 67 of Brooksville, Florida died Wednesday, May 7, 2007 at the Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center. He came here 25 years ago from his native Lemoyne, Pennsylvania. He retired after 23 years as minister with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, ministering in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Florida. He was a former volunteer fireman for 27 years also in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Florida, member of the Ground Observer Corps, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Nativity Lutheran Church, Weeki Wachee. Survivors include his wife: Lois E.; son: David B. McDowell of Holiday; daughter: Marie E. McClung of Valdosta,GA; five grandchildren.
