FUNERAL NOTICEFERRIS, John R. ?Bob?, Jr., age 84 of Brooksville died Tues., Oct. 7, 2008 at Baldomero Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home in Land O Lakes. Born in Chicago, IL he moved to Miami in the early 40?s and moved to Brooksville in 1975. He was a graduate of the University of Miami and was a general contractor and engineer in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area and in Brooksville. Mr. Ferris built many homes and commercial buildings in Brooksville. He was the developer of Withrow Woods Subdivision. He was a member of the Hernando County Housing Authority, a WW II US Army Veteran, a Disabled American Veteran, member of the Florida Society Sons of the American Revolution, the American Legion and was a Christian. Mr. Ferris is survived by his daughter: Sandra Shive of PA.; son & daughter-in-law: Thomas and Jean Ferris of Brooksville; 5 grandchildren: Amy Harrop & Lora Ferris, both of Tampa, Doug Ferris of Brooksville, Michelle Santiago of Pennsylvania, Mike Lentoski of New York and 5 great grandchildren.
