I think of him every time someone says something about someone not answering their phone.  He cracked me up in Walmart when Dorothy wasn't answering her phone.  He was irritated & said so,  but didn't look it or sound it at all.  Lol.  One of those had to be there moments. I also remember just 2 weeks prior to his passing, riding the elevator & walking through the halls & parking lot of the hospital when Destiny was in ICU.  Him,  Shelby,  & I worried & exhausted,  but trying to find some humor. 💙

He was like a dad to me I would help him anytime he needed it I am grateful for all the help that he gave me I will always and forever remember him

I love you paw paw, you have pushed me to do the greatest things in my life, you were there every single time when the school needed a guardian because I was in trouble.  You have given me my taste in suits, you have given me your bravery, yet you have also given me your knowledge. And I'm forever greatful, you are what is pushing me to get my certificate of graduation with at least a 4.0 GPA. You are whome I will push to impress. Thank you for always being there for me, I love you paw paw. Sleep beuatifully. I haven't cried yet, I have to be strong for mom. And I have to keep moving forward with my life, so that I can become who I wish to be. I Will  Be With You Sooner Than You know. Love you old man 

Where do I start? The memories just keep flooding in. Classic car shows. Movies. My senior honors breakfast where you told everyone how proud you were to be my dad. My theater performances where you brought me flowers. Picnics at the river. Swimming at the house. Us dancing to David Bowie when I was a kid, a teenager, and an adult. Listening to music together in your car. You picking me up from school. Cookouts. My surprise 16th bday party. Your surprise 70th bday party. You coming to see my band play. You coming to the convention. Renaissance Festival. So many memories. You taught me so much, like how to drive manual, how to change a tire and how to make a campfire. But most importantly, you taught me that I can take care of myself. I will miss you so much. I’ll miss your jokes and your laugh. Our conversations and your insight. I will never forget the day you told me that my biological father missed out for not raising me and that you were proud of me. That meant the world to me. You were the best Dad and I was so very lucky to have you.

I have a lot of good memories with Mr. Joe. Even have a few bad ones. Camping, river trips, weekend sleep overs when Bran and I were little, parties, Easters, but one moment sticks with me most. Last I saw him, he said exactly what I needed to hear at that moment. He knew what  was bothering me without ever actually having to tell him. He was an amazing man. He set the bar high for what a man should be, what a father should be, and what a friend should be. He loved his family and friends deeply. He will be greatly missed. 

God seen you were getting tired,and a cure what not be. So he put his arms around you and whispered come to me. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, He broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the BEST. I love you Daddy Always. Brandy Budowski Falagan

Buying Key Lime pie or Pirouette wafer cookies will never be the same. He said I took him in without knowing him, and he did the same to me. He will be greatly missed.

Awe. Goddamn. Freaking crying. It's Gator! Ha. Remember you used to call me that? I can literally hear your voice still saying it. I know it's been way too long. But, you were and still a large part of my childhood. I remember three wheeling to get swamp cabbage. You showed us all how to strip it from the palm. Hell, I don't even know if that's a thing. But you made it one! One I still remember so many lifetimes ago. Really wished I could have sat with you one last time and asked about your memories of all of us. It's these peices in time with you, that will live on through all of us forever. A moment is truly forever. These places in time, they still go on. Time is just a construct of our minds, something we were all taught to invent--because when I was kid, I had no concept of it. Five minutes seemed to go forever. In that way, you are still standing there calling me "Gator" and riding those three wheelers with us. Perhaps, in another time continuum, there we all are; still. You're not at all gone. It's where we remember, that you will always be forever. Rest easy, Joe. I'm praying for your family. 

Joey, you will be missed by many darlin. Your love for others will carry on in our hearts. You Gained Your Wings. Da, Destiny, Chrissy, Brandy and family will feel them wrapped tightly around them. 

Can't forget the time Da and I lost Joey in St. Augustine on 4th of July!!!

My Darling Joey I have known you since Jon Paul was about 2 around 1974 you have been my brother-in-law my friend and Confidant you helped give me a Truly wonderful and caring Niece Brandy she has your love for animals and her Momma Sheila’s fighting spirit I so glad that I spent a few hours with you last week we needed that we had a connection that no one or nothing could break you take a part of my heart with you I’m just sorry we never got the chance to run off  but you keep a place up there waiting for me Love Mary Dawn

Gone but never forgotten my memories are to many  ,you were my favorite uncle and I know  i will listen to your moody blues in a whole different way I loved u so
