Joseph D. Leone

LEONE, Joseph D., Sr., age 81 of Spring Hill passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at his home. He was born on March 7, 1932 in Jersey City, NJ. After he got married he lived in Newark before moving to South Plainfield, NJ where he lived for 26 years before moving to Spring Hill 22 years ago. He was a manger for a brokerage firm, a US Army Korean Conflict Veteran and member of the Lions Club in NJ. He also loved to dance. He was predeceased by his parents: Joseph and Margaret (LeFante) Leone, his daughter: Grace Ann and his son: Joseph Dominick, Jr. He is survived by his son: Michael of Spring Hill; daughter-in-law: Carol Leone of Howell, NJ; grandsons: Joseph, III, John & Vincent Leone, all of Howell, NJ and his sister: Margaret Chiarmonte of PA. Visitation will be 11am – 1pm Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel followed by a 1:30pm funeral mass at St. Frances Cabrini. Burial will then take place at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens, Spring Hill.
