Kenneth Ray Collins

COLLINS, Kenneth Ray, “Pops”, age 70, went to be with the Lord Monday, March 7, 2011 at Oak Hill Hospital after a short illness. He was an auto body repairman and retired from Sun West Mine. He was a member of the Corvair Club of Inverness and a member and deacon of Faith Fellowship Church, Brooksville, FL. He was very proud of being a foster parent. Preceded in death by his father, Leslie; daughter, Rita Marie and brother, Jimmy; he is survived by his wife Alberta (Harris); sons: Kenneth Jr., Timothy and Gary; mother: Reba of Hamlin, WV; sisters: Linda of Columbus, OH; Janet Adkins of Hamlin, WV; brother: Lawrence of Barbarsville, WV; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; especially Betty Hall.   Visitation for friends will be 6-8pm Friday, March 11, 2011 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am, Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Brooksville Cemetery.
