Laura Lynne Burkhead

She was born in Oakland, California on May 25, 1959.

A proud graduate of Hernando High School, Laura poured her compassionate spirit into nursing, earning her degree from Pasco-Hernando Community College and touching countless lives at HCA-Sarah Cannon. Her love for God, her family, her friends, and the serene embrace of the water defined her vibrant life.

Laura is preceded in death by her parents, Ronold E. Kline and Mary Lynne Kline. Widowed by her beloved Darriel Burkhead, she carried his memory with grace. Laura’s light shines on through her children, Tara Figueroa (Nick), James Foster (Ashley), Shana Alt, and Taylor Burkhead (Matthew); and her cherished grandchildren, Adriana and Paxton Figueroa, Adilynn and Walker Foster, Isabelle, Roland, and Liliana Gaston, and Blake Burkhead and Aria Fackler; her brothers, Ronold Kline III (Maria) and Michael Kline (Donna), hold her memory close.

Laura’s love will ripple forever, like sunlight on the water she adored.

A Celebration of Life for Laura will be held at the Farm of Dreams Resort (2248 Culbreath Road, Brooksville, FL 34602) on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 4:00-8:00pm. Guests will be served hors d'oeuvres and light refreshments. For attire, the family has requested no black clothing; please come dressed casual and comfortable.
