WOOD, Lawrence R., age 77, of Spring Hill, FL died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Oak Hill Hospital. He was born in Fulton, New York and came to the area 23 years ago from Wesley Chapel, FL. He was a New York State Trooper and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a member of United Methodist Church and the Elks Club. He is survived by his wife: Kate McCarthy Wood of Spring Hill, FL; sons and daughters-in-law: Lawrence A. and Marie Wood of Jupiter, FL; Nolte and Blair McCarthy of Boca Raton, FL; daughters and sons-in-law: Kristine and Tom Engle of Jupiter, FL; Kimberly and Norm Bellemore of Rhode Island; Elizabeth McCarthy of Winter Park, FL; 4 grandchildren. A graveside service with full military honors will be conducted at 10:00am, Monday, November 20, 2017 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
