SPANO, LEONARD, age 79 of Spring Hill died Thurs., Oct. 16, 2003 at the Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center of Brooksville. Born in New York, NY he came here 14 years ago from Long Island, NY. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for New York City Department of Transportation. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, a volunteer fireman, former member of the Knights of Columbus, the V.F.W. and was past president of Flanders Little League all of Long Island, NY and he was of the Catholic faith.Survivors include his wife, Mary; Sons: Leonard F. Spano of Spring Hill and Michael Spano of Flanders, Long Island, NY; Daughter: Anna M. Vetter of Spring Hill; Sister: Anna Spano of Brooksville; 9 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
