Leroy George Kanovsky

Born April 22, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Fredrick & Amelia (Erlich) Kanovsky.  He proudly served his country from 1950-1954 in the United States Navy and was a Korean War Veteran.  He came to Homosassa 19 years ago from Miami Lakes, Florida and was an elementary school teacher for over 33 years.  He was Lutheran by faith. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Charles Kanovsky and Ronald Brown.  He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Kanovsky; sons and daughters-in-law, David & Marie Kanovsky of Homosassa, Florida and Daniel & Donna Kanovsky of Brooksville, Florida; daughter, Allison Kanovsky of Homosassa, Florida; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, May 7, 2021 at Florida National Cemetery, with military honors.
