Lola Jean Earles

EARLES, Lola Jean, age 68, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at HPH Hospice. A lifelong native of Brooksville, FL, Lola recently retired from the Hernando County School System and Lakewood Retreat after 27 years. Lola Jean always put others first, she loved “all things purple” and her favorite pastime was fellowship. Give her a glass of ice tea, a comfy chair and she’d “ask and listen … ask and listen….” Lola Jean was preceded in death by parents, Edgar & Lola Hammock, son Timothy and beloved sisters & brother, Delores Ables, Gwen Laliscio and Franklin Hammock. She is survived by her husband Ron and sister Sharon Sommer as well as 5 children, Troy, Sonya, LeighAnn, Angie and Sharyl. Lola Jean was a very proud grandmother to Dakota, Camillia, Kaleigh, Jason and Madelyn, great grandmother to Chett & Bryleigh.  Visitation for friends will be 6-8:00pm, Friday, May 29, 2015 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am, Saturday, May 30, 2015. Interment will follow at New Hope UMC Cemetery, Istachatta, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House or All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL.
