Rocelia was born on May 12, 1941, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Connie Belle McCormick and Herbert Clyde Jones. She grew up in Nashville alongside her siblings and graduated from high school before embarking on a life filled with dedication to her family and community.
Rocelia’s professional life reflected her commitment to service and hard work. She began her career as a police dispatcher in a small town, where she played an integral role in supporting local law enforcement. Later, she transitioned to a long-standing career as a bank teller, where her friendly demeanor and reliability left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.
Cooking was one of Rocelia’s greatest passions—a skill she lovingly shared with those around her. Her kitchen was often filled with the aroma of home-cooked meals prepared with care for family gatherings that brought everyone together. These moments were a testament to Rocelia’s unwavering devotion to creating memories centered on love and togetherness.
Family was the cornerstone of Rocelia’s life. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Ray Cammuse, with whom she shared many cherished years of marriage. Together they raised two sons, Charles Ray Cammuse Jr. and Jason Paul Cammuse, both of whom preceded her in death. Despite these profound losses, Rocelia found immense joy in the lives of her grandchildren: Rachel (Justin) of Orlando, Florida; Matthew (Rachel) of Glen Burnie, Maryland; and Rebekah (Brandon) of Florida. Her legacy continues through her three great-granddaughters—Madelyn Grace, Carleigh Rae, and Eliana Suarez—who brought light into her later years.
Rocelia is also survived by her sister-in-law Dorene Jones, niece Leah Robinson, and daughter-in-law Cheryl Suarez Cammuse. She maintained close bonds with many nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly for her warmth and kindness.
Rocelia was also preceded in death by her parents; her brother John Paul Jones; her sister Caroline Ann Geldreich; as well as other dear family members who undoubtedly welcomed her home with open arms.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May those who loved Rocelia find comfort in the legacy she leaves behind—a life marked by resilience, love for family, and an enduring spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM at 3723 Upper Creek Dr, Ruskin, FL 33573.
