Margaret F. White

She was born in Gadsden, Alabama on September 8, 1949 to Newell Arlie & Ruby Turner. Margaret married Tommy White, and the pair remained together for 48 years.

Margaret worked for Walmart DC 6006 in Cullman, Alabama and DC 6020 in Brooksville, Florida for 20 years, where she made many lifelong bonds with her colleagues. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, gardening, and above all, time spent with her family. Her pride and joys were her 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Margaret’s family remembers her as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is preceded in her passing by her parents, Newell & Ruby Turner, and by her brothers, Troy Bontrager, Edward Bontrager, and Artis Turner. Margaret is survived by her devoted husband, Tommy White; her daughter, Melinda Silverthorn (Daniel); her son, Matt White (Cassy); her grandchildren, Summer, Jordan, Ted, Mattaha, Dakota, Aleesia, Nathan, and Vanessa; and her great-grandchildren, Nik, Kynlee, Saylah, Dallas, Atlas, Everest, Nevaeh, James (a.k.a. Googie), and Quinn.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00-1:00pm, Monday, September 22, 2025 at Merritt Funeral Home (2 South Lemon Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601), where a Celebration of Life begins at 1:00pm.
