She was born October 6, 1928 in Savannah, Georgia and came to this area over 85 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Brooksville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis A. Bailey; brother, Kenneth H. Meldrim, Jr.; grandson, Kenneth L. Bailey, Jr. She is survived by sons, Kenneth L. Bailey of Clearfield, Utah, Avery M. Bailey of Brooksville, Florida, Timothy A. Bailey of Plant City, Florida; sisters, Pat Hornbuckle of Altoona, Florida, Judy Lucas of Hernando, Florida, Madge Armstrong of Chicago, Illinois; grandson, Jason Bailey; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, with Reverend Doug Zipperer officiating.
