Born November 23, 1940 in Vonore, Tennessee, he came to the area 55 years ago, moving to Spring Hill 19 years ago from Brooksville. He was the Transportation Director for the Hernando County School District with 16 years of service. He was a Mason and Baptist by faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee & Juanita Tallent and two brothers, Fred Tallent and Joe Tallent. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years: Melanie Tallent; son and daughter-in-law: Mark Jr. & Susan Tallent of Tallahassee, Florida; daughter: Michele Renee Tallent of Tallahassee, Florida; brother and sister-in-law: Jack & Jean Tallent of Hudson, Florida; sister and brother-in-law: Gina & Al Stephenson of Atlanta, Georgia; two grandchildren: Allie Tallent and Kasey Tallent.
