

Born February 29, 1932 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, he came to the area 25 years ago from New York City. He served in the United States Army and was a Korean War veteran. He was a painter with Union Painter Local #3 for over 30 years and was Catholic by faith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years: Olga; son and daughter-in-law, Louis & Nelida Rios of Spring Hill, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy & Steve Vasquez of Spring Hill, Florida; brother, Ramon “Pito” Ortiz of Puerto Rico; sisters, Blanca Ortiz, Ofelia Narvaez, Rosa Cosme, Anna Rivera, and Bachin Torres, all of Puerto Rico; four grandchildren, Stephanie Dizon, Anthony Vasquez, Maximo Rios, and Angelica Rios; three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Vasquez, Olivia Dizon, and Max Dizon.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00-7:00pm, Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel, where Funeral Services will begin at 7:00pm.
