Merton Ellsworth Pullen

PULLEN, Merton E., age 93 of Spring Hill left to be with his maker and wife January 11th, 2014 after a short illness. Merton was born in Moravia, NY in 1920. He grew up in that village and graduated from high school there in 1940. He loved all sports but excelled on the high school baseball diamond. After first working in Auburn, NY, he later lived in Cortland, NY where he married a local girl, Arlene Lindley. Together they raised three children before moving to Clearwater, FL in 1970. He retired in 1997 after having been in commission sales during his last forty three years of employment. He was a communicant of the Methodist Church and happily donated twenty our gallons of blood to the Red Cross during his lifetime. Those who survived the deceased include 3 children, 6 grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held 2pm on Wednesday, January 15, 2015 at Merritt Funeral Home, 4095 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill. His cremains will rest in the City of Brooksville Cemetery in Florida.
