Michael S. Gargano

GARGANO, Michael S. age 66 of Hernando, FL, died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Hospice of Citrus County.  Born in Boston, MA he moved here 27 years ago from Taunton, MA, where he retired as a police officer.  He was a licensed insurance agent and was an Advanced Planning Counselor for the Merritt Funeral Homes in Brooksville and Spring Hill, he was a U. S. Navy Vietnam Veteran, member of NARLEO, a retired police officer organization in Hernando, FL and member of St. Scholastica Catholic Church, Lecanto, FL. 

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Angel; sons & daughter-in-law:  Mike, Jr. of Missouri City, TX, Mathew of Tampa, FL and Adam & Natalie of Citrus Springs, FL; brother & sister-in-law:  Joe & Debbie of Everett, MA; sisters & brother-in-law:  Angela Gargano of Arizona, Ann & Jack Jones of Arlington, MA, Susan Gargano of Orleans, MA and Janice Gargano of Brewster, MA; grandchildren:  Joey, Julia, Noah, Michael & Dominic.

Visitation for friends will be 10 – 11:30am, Saturday, November 9, 2013 in the Bethlehem Room of St. Scholastica Catholic Church, Lecanto.  Funeral mass will begin at 11:30am, with Father Robert G. Romaine as celebrant.  Interment with military honors will be private for the family at the Florida National Cemetery, Buhsnell, FL.  Flowers are welcome, however, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Scholastica Catholic Church.
