Mircea Vancea

Mircea was born on November 18, 1953, in Batar, Romania. He moved to the United States and spent many years in Cleveland, Ohio, where he worked as a skilled tool and die maker. About 30 years ago, he made Brooksville his home. He was a man of the Orthodox faith.

Mircea is survived by his brother, Charles Vance of Cleveland, Ohio; his sister and brother-in-law, Mariana and Petru Mandreanu of Brooksville, Florida; and his nieces and nephews, Dorina Vance, Laura Havasi (Brian Havasi), Cynthia Wood (Russel Wood), Adrian Mandreanu (Andreea Mandreanu), and Daniel Mandreanu (Kaitlyn Mandreanu). He also leaves behind his cherished great-niece, Gracie Havasi, and great-nephews, Andrei Mandreanu and Clay Mandreanu.

Mircea’s presence will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. His memory will remain in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00-11:00am, Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Merritt Funeral Home (2 South Lemon Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601), where Funeral Services begin at 11:00am. A Graveside Service will follow at 12:30pm at Brooksville Cemetery (1275 Olmes Road, Brooksville, FL 34601).
