He was born on March 24, 1928 in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was a descendant of the first settlers of Gulfport, Florida.
He is preceded in death by wife, Alice; son, Peter; parents, Albert and Ruth; sisters, Melva Hendrix and Elaine Johns. He is survived by sister, Stella Dial and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
