Patricia Ward Eppley

Patricia was born on January 18th, 1950, in Frankfurt, Germany and was a generational resident of Brooksville, Florida. She was a 1968 graduate of Hernando High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of South Florida. Patricia was a devoted language arts teacher for over 20 years in the Florida educational system. She was a 9-year sponsor of the Key Club and an advisor for the National Honor Society. During her teaching career, she coached cross-country running, track, and tennis. An avid runner in her own right, she was a member of the Red Mule Runners Club, competing in many endurance races, including the Chicago Marathon in 1985, which she completed in 3 hours and 51 minutes. In her spare time, she was active in the American Cancer Society, serving as a member of its board of directors for 20 years.

Patricia had an extraordinary green thumb, and the various displays of plants and flowers in her yard were always complimented and admired. Along with her many accomplishments, she greatly enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.

Patricia is survived by her son & daughter-in-law: David and Kimberly Eppley; her mother: Otella Weeks; brother: Joe Weeks; sisters: Connie Petrantoni and Cile Livengood; grandchildren: Alex Eppley, Mathew Oleson, David R. Eppley, Kaya Eppley, Millie Eppley, Brayson Eppley, and Ryker Mann; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, lifelong friends, and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Patricia Eppley Mann.

She was an incredible mother and grandmother, but most of all she was our greatest teacher. We will carry on her traditions, and she will be loved and missed forever.

Remembrance services will remain private for the family.
