Patricia Potter Strickland

STRICKLAND, Patricia Potter, 83 went to be with The Lord on April 22, 2015. She was born and raised in Tampa, FL, after retiring she returned to her family homestead in Hernando County.  She graduated from Hillsborough High in 1951 and Florida State University in 1956 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. She was employed with the Hillsborough County Health Department and Visiting Nurses Assoc. of Hillsborough County. She was a lifetime member of the Alumni Association of FSU and Hillsborough High. She was also a long time member of New Orleans Baptist Church in Tampa and most recently First Baptist Church of Masaryktown.  She is survived by daughter and son-in-law: Suzanne Strickland Germain and Tom of Gastonia, NC; brother: Dr. R. Hugh Potter of Orlando, FL: 2 grandchildren: Christopher and Shannon Germain of Gastonia, NC.  She was predeceased by her parents: Robert Hugh Potter of Lake Placid, FL and Katye Ayers Potter of Tampa, FL; brothers, David and Bob Potter, and sister, Dorothy Miller. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm, Friday April 24, 2015 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm, Saturday, April 25, 2015 with Reverend Robert Gant officiating. Interment will follow at Brooksville Cemetery.
