Peter John Terzian Jr., 85, a devoted father, loving husband, and proud Navy veteran, left this world peacefully on December 26, 2025, surrounded by the love he so generously shared throughout his remarkable life.
Born on February 5, 1940, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Peter John Terzian Sr. and Yvonne Bergeron, Pete lived a full and meaningful life filled with service, family, and accomplishment.
Pete proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a radio operator where his dedication and character earned him the Good Conduct Medal—a testament to the honor and integrity he carried in everything he did. On April 28, 1962, he married his beloved Elizabeth Eagen in Buffalo, NY, beginning a beautiful partnership that would span decades. Together, they built a warm and loving home in Holland, NY, raising four wonderful children who were the center of his world.
Pete is survived by his adored wife, Elizabeth; his dear sister, Mary Blake; children, Donna, Karen, Peter John III, and Stephen; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren—who filled his days with laughter, pride, and endless joy. Pete is predeceased by his parents; brother, John; and granddaughter, Kimberly.
Pete found true peace on his beloved farm, taking immense pride in the barn he built with his own hands. That barn stood as a testament to his determination and craftsmanship, and it became the heart of the place he cherished most.
He had a gift for storytelling, delighting his family with vivid tales from his Navy days and sharing the wisdom he gained through a life well-lived. His stories brought generations together and will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
In his professional life, Pete excelled as an accomplished automotive carrier leader in Buffalo, NY, rising to the position of Vice President of Manufacturing at Delavan Industries. His expertise and insight made him a trusted voice, even contributing as a valued member of several legal teams.
A committal service with full military honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell (6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513) on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 10:30am. A memorial service celebrating Pete’s extraordinary life will follow at a later date in Buffalo, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Hearts & Hands United of Weeki Wachee or K9s for Warriors (https://k9sforwarriors.org/) which supports a cause close to Pete’s heart by helping veterans in need - a fitting way to honor his lifelong commitment to those who served.
Peter John Terzian, Jr. will forever be remembered as a loving father, a skilled Naval radio operator, a dedicated professional, and a true friend to so many. His legacy of love, service, and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know him.
