Our dear mother Phylis sadly passed away Tuesday February 27, 2024 at the age of 87. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker.
Born in Lynn, Massachusetts on July 14, 1936, she was the daughter of Philip Henry Barteaux and Cecilia Claire Soucy. She met and married her husband of 64 years, Paul W. Mercer on May 27, 1955. She was the mother of six children, Paul Edward, Philip Dale, Randy Joseph, Joni Ann, Billy Joe, and Patricia Ann.
She is preceded by her husband, Paul; three sons, Paul, Philip, and Randy; and one granddaughter, Phoebe. She is survived by her daughter, Joni Hanna and husband, John; son, Billy Mercer and wife, Terri; daughter-in-law, Karen Mercer; and daughter, Patricia Croft. She had 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
