WILKINS, Robert "Bob" L., age 83 of Spring Hill passed away Thurs., Nov. 12, 2009 at his home. He was born in Berkley Springs, WV and came to this area 15 years ago from Clearwater, FL. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II who was involved in the Normandy Beach Invasion. He retired as a lineman crew chief for Madison Power & Light Co., in New Jersey and was a member of the DAV, VFW and American Legion. Predeceased by his brother: John W. Wilkins, survivors include his wife: Marie; sons and daughters-in-law: Rod & Kathy Wilkins, all of Spring Hill, John & Lori Wilkins of Clearwater; daughter: Sharon Andersen of Seminole, FL; brother: Jackson Wilkins of San Martin, CA; grandchildren: Amber Lynn Wade, Robert John Wilkins & Ashley Marie Wilkins and great grandchildren: Hannah Wade & Levi Wade. Visitation for friends will be 11am- 1pm Thurs., Nov. 19, 2009 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel where a service will be conducted at 1:00pm. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 2:30pm at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
