Robert John Syme

He was born April 13, 1947 in Irwin, Pennsylvania and came to this area 20 years ago from Detroit, Michigan.  He loved motorcycles and was employed for 19 years as a diesel mechanic for Better Mix.    

He is survived by his wife of 31 years: Nancy Ann Syme; mother: Annamae Syme of North Huntington, Pennsylvania; son and daughter-in-law: John Robert & Traci Syme of Ocala, Florida; daughter: Dawn Lynn Neal of Ocala, Florida; stepsons and daughters-in-law: Dean Thomas & Gina Murphy of Spring Hill, Florida and Scott Richard & Joann Murphy of Michigan; sisters and brothers-in-law: Bonnie & Tom Barnes of Pennsylvania and Diane & Gary Brownlow of South Carolina; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00-2:00pm, Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm.
