Born in Clarksburg, WV he came to this area 16 years ago from Rockville, MD. He was a retired analyst for the Department of Transportation-Federal Railroad Administration, graduate of the Greenbrier Military School, U.S. Marine Corp Korean Conflict Veteran, a drill instructor in the Marine Corp, 32 degree Mason and Methodist by faith.Survivors include his wife: Janet W.; son: Robert W. Tarleton, Jr. of San Francisco, CA; brother: George O. Tarleton of Worthington, OH and 2 grandchildren: Jack and Collin. Visitation for friends will be 10-12 Wed., Sept. 30, 2009 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel with a funeral service at 12PM. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
