LaMONDRA, Roger M., age 77 of Brooksville passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 at HPH Hospice Care Center in Brooksville. He came to this area in August of 1986 from his native Detroit, MI. He was a police officer with the Detroit Police Department, U.S. Army Veteran and member of the Hernando County Sportsman Club and NRA. He was predeceased by his wife: Shirley. Survivors include his sons: Michael LaMondra of Valrico, Roger P. & Jeff LaMondra, both of Spring Hill; daughter: Karen DeVito of Michigan; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation for friends will be from 5-7pm Monday, December 8, 2014 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel where a funeral service will take place 11am Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
