BENDEL, Russell H., age 82 of Spring Hill died Saturday, March 8, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, PA he came to this area in 1997 from Warminster, PA. He was a system analyst, US Navy Veteran, member of the Masonic Lodge #218 and other numerous clubs within Timber Pines. He also enjoyed travel, cards, computers and his grand & great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife: Carla; son: Russell W. Bendel of Cota DeCaza, CA; daughter: Joy Bendel of Wyncote, PA; 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Gathering for friends will be 11am – 12pm Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel where a memorial service will be conducted at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any local Disabled Veteran’s Organization.
