Sandra Snow Sullivan, age 76, passed away peacefully, on Friday, November 4, 2022. She was born October 13, 1946, in Brooksville, Florida to Addison Eugene “Gene” Snow and Doris Lewis Snow. She married her love, W. Paul Sullivan in November 1969, who preceded her in death in 2011.
Sandra was the director of the Methodist School Center of Brooksville for 39 years. She was integral in the nurture and education of hundreds of children in Hernando County throughout the years. She provided leadership and love through her guidance as Head of School and through her dynamic music ministry, training children in life wisdom and in the fundamentals of faith. She believed that teaching children about Jesus through song would be the foundation for them to deal with life’s challenges for years to come.
Sandra was known to many as “Shuggie”, coming from the beloved endearing term “Sugar Mama”, for which she was named by her children’s friends. Hers was the home that had a cake or pie on the counter or a CocaCola in the pantry and she was thrilled to lavish these on the children that came to her sweet and beautiful home. All know Sandra for her beauty, gracious hospitality, charm and artistic gifts. Sandra, believing music to be so integral in her faith journey, painted “Great is Thy Faithfulness” on the wall of her beautiful home…one of the ways she would share about the Lord’s faithfulness to her.
She is survived by her sister, Sue Snow Wilson and husband, Lyle E. Wilson, and sister, Sara Snow of Brooksville; her daughter, Katie Sullivan MacGregor and husband Revill MacGregor of Rock Hill, South Carolina, son W. Addison Sullivan and wife Erin Chatman Sullivan of Brooksville, and daughter Sallie Sullivan Crumbaker and husband Brian Crumbaker of Tallahassee, Florida; grandchildren Revill Sanders MacGregor, Jr, Lexie Kate Crumbaker, Keelie Mein Crumbaker, Annie Hope MacGregor, Troxler Addison Sullivan, Charlotte Elizabeth Sullivan and Quinn Harper Sullivan.
Please join us as we celebrate her life, the morning of Monday, November 7th, at First United Methodist Church, Brooksville, with visitation at 9:00 and service at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Methodist School Center and HPH Hospice, Spring Hill.
