Shirley Jeanette Lake

LAKE, Shirley Jeanette, age 81 of Brooksville, Florida died Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Oak Hill Hospital.  She was born in Spring Lake, Florida and was a lifelong resident of the area.  Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was Christian by faith.

Survivors include her husband:  Joseph A. Lake; Sons & Daughters-in-law:  Joseph E. & Cassandra Lake and Terry L. & Tina Lake; Granddaughter:  Courtney Lake (& Jared); Great Grandchildren:  Landon, Tyler & Avery; Brother & Sister-in-law:  James E., Jr. & Alicia Hunter; Sisters:  Patsy Heath and Teresa Hill.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James E., Sr. & Louise Hunter; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Visitation for friends will be 11am – 12pm, Monday, August 16, 2021, at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where funeral services will begin at 12:00pm.  Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
