He was born February 18, 1955 in Tampa, Florida and came to Brooksville 22 years ago from Safety Harbor, Florida. He served in the United States Navy and later worked as a mortgage underwriter. He was Baptist by faith and a member of New Life Church in Webster, Florida.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Diann R. Ashmore; his sons, Rory Ashmore of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Richard Ashmore of Cape Coral, Florida; his daughter and son-in-law, Dina L. & Timothy Mikule of Lutz, Florida; his mother, Virginia Lee Mulkin of Sarasota, Florida; brothers, Marc Ashmore, Sidney Ashmore Jr., Jerry Ashmore, and William "Billy" Ashmore; sisters, Carole Ashmore Chancey, Virginia Ann Jones, and Mary Powell.
