She was born May 25, 1923 in Endeavor, Wisconsin and came to the area 36 years ago from Madison, Wisconsin. She worked as a bookkeeper, was a member of First Lutheran Church in Ridge Manor, Florida, and volunteered at Bayfront Health Brooksville.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Lester Harmsen; her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Lester & Judy Harmsen; sisters, Bertha Midey, Vera Call and Dorothy Baker. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Harmsen of Pennsylvania; and grandchildren, Bryan Harmsen (Emily), Sean Harmsen, Deacon Morey, and Dakota Morey.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30pm, Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Florida National Cemetery, with Pastor Tom Almond officiating.
